Manali Packages from Chandigarh: Manali 3N/4D by Indica car

Day one: Pickup from Chandigarh railway station / bus stand / airport by Tata Indica car. Travel to Manali which is 250 kilometers away and takes seven to nine hours to travel. Check in at Hotel.

Day two: Visit to The famous Rohtang Pass where you can see and enjoy the snow all time during the year. This is 51 kilometers from Manali at an height of 4111m above sea level. This is the highest point in Manali. This pass is closed in winter season due to heavy snowfall. See Beas Kund, the river Beas originates from here.

On the return Journey visit the famous Solang valley which is situated 13km to the north-west part of Manali. The snow laden hill slopes of Solang are considered one of the best in the world for skiing activity and winter sports. Many State & National level winter sports are organized here in the winter season. One can have snow scooter ride, paragliding and ropeway ride here

Day three: Local Manali trip by Indica Car. Visit the Hadimba temple, museum, Manu Rishi temple, Vashisth hot springs, Club House, Buddhist monasteries, evening free to roam on the mall road and do shopping, the famous being the Kullu Shawls.

Shimla to Manali Travel

The distance between Shimla and Manali is 265 kilometers but buses and cars take 8 to 10 hours to travel this distance as the whole road passes through hills and there are lots of twists and turns on the way and average speed of the vehicle remains between 25 to 40 kilometers per hour only. There is no option to travel to Manali by train as, the nearest Broad gauge rail-head is in Chandigarh only which is also at the same distance from Manali as Shimla is.

Thought there is an airport at Shimla and Manali there are no flights between Shimla and Manali. So the only option left is to travel by road only by buses and taxis.

Shimla Manali bus services

A number of buses ply between Shimla and Manali but most of them are ordinary buses operated by Himachal Roadways (HRTC). There are two deluxe non-AC bus services between Shimla and Manali; first by the Himachal Roadways and other run by Krishna Travels Shimla.

There is no other VOLVO or any other air-conditioned bus service between Shimla and Manali other than this.
